Tashi Namgyal, the unsung hero who alerted the Indian Army about the Pakistani intrusion in Kargil, passed away on December 17. His vigilance in 1999 led to Operation Vijay and India’s victory. Despite his pivotal role, he never received official recognition. Tashi’s legacy as a patriot and selfless protector of India’s integrity remains unforgettable. He is survived by his wife and four children.
