Former Chief Election Commissioner Navin Chawla Passes Away

Ex Chief Election Commissioner Navin Chawla passed away at 79, confirmed ex-CEC SY Quraishi. Chawla, who served as Election Commissioner from 2005-2009 and CEC from 2009-2010, had recently undergone brain surgery. Quraishi expressed his condolences, recalling Chawla as cheerful during their last meeting. An Election Commission official also confirmed the news.
