Bombay HC Questions Maharashtra’s Decision To Waive Police Protection Charges For Cricket Matches

Bombay High Court has raised concerns over the Maharashtra govt’s decision to reduce and waive police protection charges for cricket matches retroactively from 2011, questioning the rationale behind it. A bench of Chief Justice DK Upadhyaya and Justice Amit Borkar directed the BCCI & Mumbai Cricket Association to file affidavits in response to the petition challenging the decision.
