ED Opposes Kejriwal’s Plea In Money Laundering Case

The ED informed the Delhi High Court that a sanction exists to prosecute Arvind Kejriwal in a money laundering case. Kejriwal had contested the lack of sanction in the trial court and sought a pause in proceedings. The court adjourned the hearing to Dec 20. This follows the Supreme Court ruling that government sanction is required to prosecute public servants in money laundering cases under the CrPC.
