At least 10 people died and around 40 were injured after two Tamil Nadu government buses collided head-on near Thirupathur on Sunday. The buses were travelling towards Karaikudi and Madurai. Several passengers were trapped before being rescued by locals and emergency teams. Many injured were taken to Sivagangai Hospital, with some in critical condition.
