A 17-year-old speech-impaired boy, Kundan Kumar, was allegedly beaten to death in Bihar’s Vaishali district while watching the India–New Zealand T20 World Cup final with local youths. His shout when India lost a wicket was misunderstood as celebration, triggering an argument and violent assault. The injured teen later died while being taken to hospital.
