Indian Army introduced a 24/7 helpline service for soldiers and veterans. This comes after a recent custodial assault on an Army officer and his fiancée in Odisha. The helpline, 155306, aims to offer immediate support in cases of emergency. It will be staffed by trained Military Police personnel, both men and women. Calls will be recorded, allowing for efficient follow-up in each case.
