Puducherry’s Schools-Colleges To Remain Closed Today

Due to Cyclone Fengal’s heavy rainfall, Puducherry has declared a holiday for all schools and colleges today, Dec 3. The government will provide ₹5,000 relief to affected ration cardholders and ₹30,000 per hectare to farmers with damaged crops. Over 200 homes in NR Nagar were inundated, and the Army and NDRF are conducting rescue operations, with boats deployed to evacuate residents.
