Manipur Protesters Defy Curfew, Rally Against AFSPA Reimposition

Defying curfew, members of various civil society groups in Imphal West, Manipur, staged a rally protesting the reimposition of the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA) in parts of the state. The procession, led by AMUCO and other local bodies, covered 3.5 km before being halted by police at Keisampat junction. Protesters condemned the act, citing recent violence.
