The government directed the Broadcast Audience Research Council to immediately suspend Television Rating Points (TRP) reporting for TV news channels for four weeks or until further notice. The move comes as certain channels aired “unwarranted sensationalism and speculative content” on the Israel-Iran conflict, potentially causing public panic.
