5 Crest Gates Open As Floodwater Continues To Flow Into Srisailam Project

Floodwater continues to flow into the Srisailam project in the Nandyala district. At least five gates of the project are being lifted and the water is being released downstream. The inflow of the reservoir is 1,59,089 cusecs while the outflow is 2,07,820 cusecs. The water reached the full water level of the project at 885 feet. Electricity generation is ongoing at both hydropower stations.
