Costa Rica agreed to act as a transit hub for deporting illegal immigrants, including Indians, under the Trump administration’s crackdown, officials said Tuesday. The first batch of 200 migrants will land in Costa Rica on Wednesday before being repatriated. President Rodrigo Chaves Robles’ office confirmed they would be housed temporarily at a migrant care facility before departure.
