High Court To Hear Plea Today Against 2008 Malegaon Blast Film Release

The Bombay High Court will today, November 12, hear Lt Colonel Prasad Purohit’s petition challenging the release of “Match Fixing: The Nation at Stake,” set for November 15, alleging it could harm his career as a decorated army officer. Purohit’s lawyer argued the film’s portrayal of events surrounding the 2008 Malegaon blast is sensitive and must be urgently reviewed.
