“On The Face Of It, You’re Corrupt”: SC Told West Bengal Ex-Minister

Supreme Court told West Bengal ex-minister Partha Chatterjee that “on the face of it, you are a corrupt person.” He was arrested in an alleged cash-for-job scam. A bench of Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan, reserved its verdict on the bail plea of Chatterjee. The bench questioned the ED over his continued incarceration saying he could not be kept inside for an indefinite period.
