In a major operation aimed at curbing violence and arms smuggling, West Bengal Police recovered 49 illegal firearms during a statewide special drive. This significant seizure comes in response to rising concerns over weapon smuggling and the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. The operation was carried out under the direct supervision of Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar.
