Heavy Security Deployed In Maoist Areas: Jharkhand Polls

Heavy security forces have been deployed in Maoist-affected areas as polling for the second phase of the assembly elections begins in Jharkhand. A total of 528 candidates are contesting in 38 constituencies, with 1.23 crore voters set to cast their ballots at 14,000 polling stations. Polling for the first phase, covering 43 seats out of the 81 assembly seats, was completed on Nov 13.
