Suspended Teacher Sentenced To 2 Years Jail For Sexually Harassing Female Students

A suspended teacher from a School in Chennai was sentenced to two years of rigorous imprisonment for sexually harassing female students. He was also slapped with a fine of ₹80,000. The teacher was suspended in 2021 after allegations from eight current and former students. He was convicted under POCSO Act. In 2021, several students reported incidents of sexual harassment on social media.
