CJI DY Chandrachud To Retire, Justice Sanjiv Khanna To Succeed

Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud is set to retire on November 10, 2023. Justice Sanjiv Khanna, currently the senior-most judge in the Supreme Court, will take over as the next CJI on November 11. November 8 marks CJI Chandrachud’s last working day. He assumed office on November 9, 2022, and has been a Supreme Court judge since 2016.
