Heavy overnight rains battered Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, killing 18 people. Uttarakhand reported 15 deaths, including 13 in Dehradun, with 16 missing and over 900 stranded as rivers washed away roads and bridges. In Himachal, three family members died due to landslides and flash floods triggered by the intense rainfall across the region.
