Indian Army Receives P-7 Parachute System For 9.5-Ton Airdrops

The Indian Army has received the P-7 Parachute System, capable of airdropping up to 9.5 tons from IL-76 aircraft. Developed by DRDO’s ADRDE and manufactured by Gliders India Limited, it enables rapid deployment of heavy equipment like guns and jeeps into high-conflict zones. The Army has ordered 146 units after successful evaluations, enhancing operational mobility and readiness.
