The Sensex and Nifty opened at fresh record levels in early trade on Friday, May 2, 2025. The Sensex started trading today at 80656.33, gained at 415.22 points or 0.52%, and the Nifty was at 24415.10, down at 81.22 points or 0.33%. Meanwhile, the Indian rupee was trading today at 85.14 against the dollar.
