Denmark To Return Ancient Statue’s Severed Head To Turkey

Denmark’s Glyptotek museum will return the bronze head of Roman Emperor Septimius Severus to Turkey after displaying it for over 50 years. The decision resolves an 18-month dispute with Ankara, which claimed the head was looted during an archaeological dig. The full statue, minus the head, was previously returned to Turkey after decades in the U.S.
