Mumbai reported higher malaria, chikungunya, and hepatitis cases till September 15, 2025, compared to last year, while dengue, leptospirosis, and gastro declined, BMC data showed. Malaria rose to 6,277 cases, chikungunya to 542, hepatitis to 913. BMC launched awareness drives, inspections, and cleanliness campaigns during Ganesh Chaturthi to contain outbreaks.
