Starting January 1, 2025, the US Embassy in India will introduce new rules for scheduling and rescheduling nonimmigrant visa appointments to reduce wait times. Applicants can reschedule once without additional charges, but missing or needing a second reschedule will require booking a new appointment and paying the fee again.
