The Karnataka government has issued a safety advisory to their people who are travelling to Sabarimala, Kerala. This decision has been taken in view of rising cases of amoebic meningoencephalitis caused by the brain-eating amoeba Naegleria fowleri found in Kerala. Pilgrims are advised to stay alert and take safety measures to prevent infection.
