Manipur Urges Centre To Reconsider Re-Imposition Of AFSPA

The Manipur government has urged the Centre to review and withdraw the reimposition of AFSPA in six police station areas, including Jiribam. In a letter sent on November 15, the state cabinet recommended removing these areas from the list of disturbed zones under AFSPA. The Ministry of Home Affairs had reimposed AFSPA on November 14 in areas like Sekmai, Lamsang, and others.
