The Election Commission has disposed of around 52 lakh electoral roll cases in West Bengal, with nearly 8 lakh still pending. Officials expect the process to finish by April 7, following court directions. Over 60 lakh names were scrutinized ahead of April 23 polls, with rolls to be finalized before the April 6 nomination deadline in the state.
