UPI Hits Record High with 21.6 Bn Transactions In Dec 2025

UPI transactions touched an all-time high in December 2025, recording 21.6 billion payments with a total value of ₹27.97 lakh crore. This marked a 29% rise compared to the same month last year. The system handled an average of ₹90,217 cr daily, while active UPI QR codes across India reached 709 mn, highlighting rapid digital payment adoption nationwide.
