Center To Fix Prices For Essential Crops Like Tomatoes, Onions: Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Central government has prepared a policy under which a model price for essential crops like onion, tomato and potato will be fixed. Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shivraj Singh Chauhan announced the same. He was campaigning for BJP in poll-bound Maharashtra. He said that Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) will set the prices at 50% higher than what farmer spend.
