Markets Close In Green: Sensex Rises 447 Pts, Nifty Up 139

The Sensex and Nifty 50 closed higher today amid mixed global cues. The Sensex rose 447 points to 85,632.29, while the Nifty 50 gained 139 points, or 0.26%, to settle at 26,192.15. Mid and small-cap indices outperformed, with the BSE Midcap up 0.12% and Smallcap up 0.61%. The Indian rupee closed at 88.71 against the US dollar.
