5.0-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Indonesia’s South Papua

An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale struck Indonesia’s eastern South Papua province on Sunday, according to the country’s meteorology and geophysics agency. The tremors, which occurred at 4:20 a.m. local time, had an epicenter 69 km northwest of Asmat regency, at a depth of 10 km. No tsunami warning was issued, as the tremors posed no threat of large waves.
