Jadavpur University Professor Found Dead In Uttarakhand Hotel

Mainak Pal, a 44-year-old professor from Jadavpur University, was found dead with his throat slit at a Uttarakhand hotel on November 8. Pal, who had traveled with friends, was discovered after his family failed to reach him. Police have not ruled out suicide. Jadavpur University mourned his loss, praising his contributions as a teacher and researcher. His body will be returned to Kolkata.
