Choksi Challenges Extradition To India In Belgium’s Top Court

Fugitive businessman Mehul Choksi has appealed to Belgium’s Supreme Court against an October ruling that upheld India’s extradition request. The appeal, filed on October 30, pauses the extradition. Belgian courts earlier ruled Choksi faces no risk of unfair trial or ill-treatment in India. He is accused in the ₹13,000-crore PNB scam and allegedly fled in 2018.
