Court Directs SEBI To Respond On Investor Education In Mutual Funds

The Bombay High Court issued a notice to SEBI and AMFI over allegations that investor education on mutual funds is misleading. The petition, filed by Chartered Accountant Chandrakant Shah, claims AMFI’s campaigns misrepresent risks, misleading the public into investing. The court appointed an amicus curiae, Abhishek Venkataraman, to assist and will hear the case again on January 30, 2025.
