HAL To Revive Nashik Plant To Manufacture New Sukhoi Fighter Jets

In a significant move to strengthen India’s defence manufacturing capabilities, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is set to revive its Nashik plant operations. This comes after a major production order valued at USD 1.3 billion, approved in September 2023, for 12 new Sukhoi Su-30MKI fighter jets. The Nashik facility will now resume its operations to meet this immediate production need.
