Bangladesh is removing Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s image from its currency notes months after Sheikh Hasina’s ouster as PM. New Taka 20, 100, 500, and 1,000 notes will feature symbols of the July uprising, Bengali traditions, and religious structures. The interim govt, led by Muhammad Yunus, directed the change to reflect the nation’s evolving identity.
