A well-marked low-pressure system caused heavy rain in Tamil Nadu’s Delta and southern districts, leading the state government to declare a holiday for schools and colleges on Friday. Severe water stagnation was reported, particularly in Tirunelveli and Tenkasi districts. Due to heavy water flow, the public was restricted from visiting the Kutralam waterfalls.
