Cyclone Montha has triggered heavy rain across Telangana, flooding low-lying areas and disrupting transport and power. Schools in several districts were closed. Nagarkurnool recorded 20.8 cm rainfall, the state’s highest. Hyderabad saw moderate to heavy rain, causing traffic snarls. The IMD issued an orange alert for 18 rain-affected districts.
