Thane Police Appeal For Custody Of Shiv Sena Worker In POCSO Case

Thane police have appealed to the Bombay High Court following a sessions court’s refusal to grant them custody of a Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction) worker accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl under the POCSO Act. The alleged incident took place on October 11, 2024, as the girl was heading to tuition, where the 57-year-old suspect reportedly kissed her forcefully.
