Broken Relationship Not Amount To Abetment Of Suicide: Supreme Court

Supreme Court said that broken relationships do not necessarily amount to abetment of suicide unless there is evidence of intent to commit a crime. The apex court overturned Karnataka High Court’s conviction of Kamaruddin Dastagir Sanadi. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison for cheating and abetment of suicide. “This is a case of a broken relationship, not criminal conduct,” the court said.
