Centre Blocks 59,000 WhatsApp Accounts Involved In Digital Fraud

The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) has blocked over 1,700 Skype IDs and 59,000 WhatsApp accounts used for digital fraud, as informed in the Lok Sabha by Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar. Additionally, the ‘Citizen Financial Cyber Fraud Reporting and Management System’ has helped prevent the loss of ₹3,431 crore in over 9.94 lakh complaints since 2021.
