A 45-year-old man, Dhan Singh Porte, was killed by a wild elephant near Tanera village in Chhattisgarh’s Korba district. The incident occurred in Gorilla Dand forest. Forest officials confirmed 54 elephants roam the area. Over 320 people and 90 elephants have died in similar incidents across the state in recent years.
