As of 11 am, a 31.3% voter turnout has been recorded in the Jharkhand assembly elections. Polling is proceeding peacefully across the state and will continue until 5 pm. Heavy security has been deployed in Maoist-affected areas as the second phase of voting takes place. A total of 528 candidates are contesting across 38 constituencies, with 1.23 crore voters expected to cast their ballots.
