SC Seeks Govt Response On Safety Guidelines For Women

Supreme Court issued a notice to various union ministries in response to a plea by the Supreme Court Women Lawyers Association, seeking guidelines for a safer environment for women, children, and transgender persons. The petition was filed on the 12th anniversary of the Nirbhaya case and after recent incidents, including the rape and murder of a junior doctor in Kolkata.
