A massive fire broke out on the 9th floor of an apartment in Highrise Towers in the Manikonda area of Hyderabad today. The fire began when the house owner, who had just moved into the newly purchased flat, placed a lamp in the puja room. The cotton near the lamp caught fire, causing the puja room to burn. The fire spread to the adjacent kitchen, engulfing the entire flat within minutes.
