The police have confirmed that the recovered bodies include a mother and her two children, hailing from the Ramban district within the Jammu division. The remains were found on the banks of Dal Lake on Saturday evening.
After the discovery, the police commenced further investigations into the matter. “The victims were originally from the Gool area within the Ramban district. Initial finding indicate that this incident may be classified as a case of suicide by drowning. However, a definitive conclusion will be reached after the investigation is completed,” officials said. A special team of a medical experts, including forensic experts, has been appointed to gather more information and conduct further investigations.
“As a professional law enforcement agency, the Srinagar Police will ensure a thorough and meticulous investigation into this case. Forensic experts are already preoccupied in their process,” the police said. Additional information is currently being awaited.
