AAP has narrowed down the chief ministerial choice to two candidates, with Atishi emerging as the frontrunner. Sources confirm there will be no deputy CM. Kailash Gahlot was also considered, but Atishi is preferred.

Atishi is a senior politician and a prominent member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Born on January 8, 1981, in Delhi, she is known for her role in educational reforms and social activism.
She completed her education at Delhi University, followed by a Master’s degree from the University of Oxford, where she studied as a Rhodes Scholar.
Atishi entered politics in 2013, initially working as a key advisor to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. She played a significant role in implementing various educational policies and reforms in Delhi.
In 2019, Atishi was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Kalkaji constituency in Delhi. She has been actively involved in addressing local issues, including education, healthcare, and women’s safety.
Known for her advocacy for transparent governance and grassroots engagement, Atishi has emerged as a leading figure in Delhi’s political landscape, reflecting the AAP’s commitment to reform and public welfare.
