Actor-director Farhan Akhtar is set to portray the valiant Major Shaitan Singh, a Param Vir Chakra recipient, in the upcoming military action film 120 Bahadur. This film, directed by Razneesh Ghai, is inspired by the courageous Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 Indo-China war, where the soldiers of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment, displayed remarkable bravery and sacrifice.

The production, a collaboration between Farhan’s Excel Entertainment and Amit Chandrra’s Trigger Happy Studios, commenced filming in Ladakh on September 4. They emphasized the importance of honoring the sacrifices made by the armed forces, stating, “What they accomplished will never be forgotten.”
The Battle of Rezang La, fought on November 18, 1962, is a poignant chapter in Indian military history, showcasing the selflessness and heroism of the soldiers who fought against overwhelming odds.
Farhan Akhtar, who previously directed Lakshya and starred in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, has a deep connection to the region, having filmed both projects in Ladakh. He shared his excitement about returning to the picturesque landscape, describing it as a “very special film.”
