Nicolás Maduro, who is the current president, has been re-elected as the President of Venezuela for the third time. To this extent, the National Electoral Council announced the final results a few minutes ago, on Monday.
As per the poll results, Maduro has secured 51.2% of the votes, and the main opposition leader, Edmundo Gonzalez, got 44% of the votes. However, the opposition is still alleging that there were irregularities in the national elections.
