Veteran Tollywood actor Kaikala Satyanarayana has acted in more than 750 movies over a span of six decades. Kaikala was a famous actor, producer, director, and politician who mainly worked in Telugu movies.
Kaikala was born on July 25, 1935, to Kaikala Laxmi Narayana from Kavutaram village in Krishna district. He completed his primary education in Gudlavalleru, his intermediate education in Vijayawada, and his graduation from Gudivada College.
Kaikala was first recognized by DL Narayana, who offered him a key role in his 1959 film ‘Sipayi Koothuru’ directed by Changayya. NTR offered Kaikala a role in his 1960 film Apoorva Sahasra Siraccheda Chintamani.
He established Rama Films production house, and he made movies such as Kodama Simham in 1990, Bangaru Kutumbam in 1994, and Muddula Mogudu in 1997.
He stepped into politics with the TDP, and he won from the Machilipatnam constituency in the 1996 Lok Sabha elections. He also served as a jury member for South Region II at the 59th National Film Award in 2012.
He was a recipient of the prestigious Raghupathi Venkaiah Award in 2011, and he also got the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017.
Kaikala married Nageswaramma in 1960, and the couple had two daughters and two sons. He died in 2022, at the age of 87.
